| Overview | : | Die „Albatros II“ ist zum Treffen der Küstenwachen aller Ostsee-Anrainer-Staaten nach Riga unterwegs, als plötzlich eine Signalrakete am Horizont sichtbar wird. Ein Mann in einem Schlauchboot ist in Seenot geraten. Schnell lässt Kapitän Ehlers das Kontrollboot klarmachen. Die Überraschung der Crew ist groß, denn bei dem Schiffbrüchigen handelt es sich um ihren ehemaligen Kollegen Nils Krüger. Die Umstände seines Schiffbruchs sind mysteriös: Wie kann es sein, dass ein so erfahrener Skipper wie Krüger eine Yacht auf Grund laufen lässt? An seiner Sehschwäche wird es kaum gelegen haben, auch wenn Krüger neuerdings eine Brille trägt, wie Bootsfrau Pia Cornelius sofort bemerkt. Krüger wird an Bord genommen. Der Crew entgeht nicht, dass er unter einer besonderen Anspannung steht. Tatsächlich ist Krügers Anwesenheit kein Zufall. Eine tschetschenische Separatistengruppe hat seine Freundin Alina Kerslund entführt und erpresst ihn jetzt. Er soll herausfinden, welchen Hafen die Küstenwache in Kürze ansteuern wird. Denn offenbar soll ein Mann an Bord genommen werden, mit dem die Terroristen noch eine Rechnung offen haben. Krüger würde gern seine ehemaligen Kollegen warnen, doch er steht unter ständiger Beobachtung: In seiner Brille sind Kamera und Mikrofon installiert, jeder seiner Schritte wird überwacht. Tatsächlich erhält die „Albatros II“ wenig später die Weisung, den Kurs zu ändern und einen Gast an Bord zu nehmen: Alexander Fomin, ein russischer Kapitän, der für die Festnahme eines tschetschenischen Anführers verantwortlich ist, welcher kürzlich unter ungeklärten Umständen im Gefängnis starb. Seitdem steht Fomin auf der Todesliste der Separatisten. Auch wenn Krüger das Leben seiner Freundin Alina nicht gefährden will, ist ihm klar: Er muss irgendwie verhindern, dass Fomin in die Hände der Separatisten gerät |
